In todays market, buyers can get some really breathtaking bargains and few are more spectacular than this Craftsman-style luxury house on Stratford Lane, where the price has fallen far below that magical million-dollar mark.

Wakefield Homes originally planned to market the Camden model at $1.3 million but the current pre-construction price is $899,000.

Many of the luxury features that distinguish a million-dollar mansion are included in the planned 4,256 square feet of living space. They include balconies, porches and bay windows throughout the first and second floors, designed to take full advantage of the 2.5-acre lot.

Elaborate two-piece crown molding enhances the living room, the adjoining dining room and the foyer, while hardwood floors continue throughout the main story. The lower level includes the recreation area and attached two-car garage.

An oval Jacuzzi tub appears in the master bath, as part of the suite that occupies the entire rear half of the second floor. Granite counters and 42-inch maple cabinets create a luxury kitchen.

The location is just as desirable, with the George Washington Parkway three blocks away. Anchored by a Safeway supermarket, the Hollin Hall shopping center is also nearby.
