Some of the customers probably went against their will, but the cool water and suds had to feel pretty good for the dogs going through the dog wash at Natures Nibbles on Saturday afternoon with temperatures cresting 90 degrees.
For about three hours, Girl Scouts from Troop 901 scrubbed down canines big and small from black-and-silver mini schnauzers to a Great Pyrenees at $10 apiece for a group fundraiser.
The troop members helped wash more than a dozen dogs and, thanks to an aptly supplied hose, managed to beat the heat along the way as well.
