T.C. Williams students Deronte Artis, Jahvon Robinson and Olga Alvarado have each earned scholarships to attend the Young Leaders Program of the Center for Social Leadership in Washington later this month, the school announced last week.

The 40-hour program includes a tour of Howard University and allows students to interact directly with area professionals in daily leadership sessions that focus on becoming a change agent, college preparedness, career readiness and goal-setting.

The program takes place June 24 through 30 at the home of the Gallup Corporation. The three students were nominated to participate through their involvement with the Peer Advisor Program of the Alexandria Community Services Board.
