Alexandria police recently arrested ReginaldBrown, 72-year-old special education teacher at T.C. Williams, for touching a16-year-old female student inappropriately on June 7.
Though the incident allegedly occurred aboutthree weeks ago, police did not make an arrest until June 25, following aninvestigation and consultation with the city prosecutor, according to theAlexandria Police Department.
Brown, a Fairfax resident, allegedly touched thestudent at the school on King Street. He was officially charged with sexualbattery.
The school system placed Brown on leave the dayof the allegation and reportedly planned to retire at the end of the schoolyear. He is no longer an employee of the school system.
