Republican candidate for congress Patrick Murray has attracted yet another Republican flag-bearer to his campaign.

Former presidential candidate and Arizona Senator John McCain will speak at a fundraiser September 20 at the private Seminary Road residence of Susan and David Hirschmann, his campaign announced Monday.

McCain, an Episcopal High School alumnus, returns to Alexandria to join the ranks of Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli and former Virginia governor and U.S. senator George Allen, both of whom have lent their name to Murrays campaign.
