A man donning a black baseball cap, a dark gray hooded sweatshirt and black jeans walked into Virginia Commerce Bank on Prince Street Friday and demanded money from a teller, Alexandria police said.

The five-foot-six-inch suspect with a slim build brandished a handgun at the teller window around 5:45 p.m. and demanded cash. The teller put an undisclosed amount of cash in a bag and handed it to the robber, police said. He then fled the scene.
