An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from Capital One Bank on the corner of Washington and Wilkes streets during a mid-morning holdup earlier today.
Police say a roughly 6 foot 1 black man walked into the bank about 9:54 a.m., approached a teller while implying he was armed and demanded money. The teller complied and no one was injured, authorities said.
The suspect is described as wearing a red jacket, light colored paints and a gray knit cap. He fled from the bank on foot, police said.
