A local man faces a robbery charge after allegedly grabbing cash from the hand of a man walking out of an Arlandria 7-Eleven convenience store earlier this month.

Authorities say Stuart Smith, 47, snagged the money about 3:54 a.m. on November 10 while the victim was putting change into his wallet and then fled the 3400 block Mount Vernon Ave. store on bicycle. 

Not long after, officers found and arrested Smith. The Alexandrian is charged with robbery from person, police said.
