Police dont know who started the argument outside of a local restaurant, but said it ended with the victim fleeing after the other man pulled out a knife last week.
The fight started after the victim stumbled over another mans child playing on the floor outside of a restaurant on the 1000 block of N. Henry St. about 2:15 p.m. on November 14. Words were exchanged, police said, and the father, armed with a knife, began following the victim.
The victim got into his car, drove off unharmed and called police, said Jody Donaldson, department spokesman. While authorities dont know what kind of knife was brandished, the suspect is described as a 5-foot-8 black man, weighing about 140 pounds, wearing blue jeans and a dark top.
