After a dismal 0-3 start the Bishop Ireton hockey team looked to be at a loss. But now the Cardinals have taken three straight, are .500 and are winning big.
Ireton traveled to the Ashburn Ice House and took down division rival Loudon Valley and Heritage 9-1 on January 14.
The Cardinals jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the first period and never looked back. After the final whistle blew, Ireton had dominated on both sides of the puck, firing 48 shots on goal and limiting LVH to 16 shots. Leading scorer Reid Yager had his second hat trick of the season and also added an assist in the match.
Bishop Ireton will face undefeated league foe Briar Woods, on January 28 at the Ashburn Ice House.
