Burglars targeted an Old Town home January 20, smashing theglass of the rear entrance door to get inside and making off with dozens ofvaluables, police said.

Includedin the haul: silverware, pocket watches, diamond rings, gold bracelets, amongother jewelry, and the victims wallet, containing credit cards and a driverslicense. The victim of the 400 block S. Fairfax St. home was out at the time,but the crime was reported about 6:20 p.m., according to authorities.

Theburglary remains under investigation and there is no connection to the rash ofhome invasions in Del Ray, police said.
