To the editor:
    
While I understand there is free speech in this country, it is not clear to me why people feel compelled to go out of their way to repeat something they have said many times before.  
    
It was obvious in the run up to the election last year that former 8th District Republican candidate for Congress Patrick Murray does not agree with whatever Jim Moran says or does. So I am not sure what substance he adds to the dialogue by his letter last week (Morans latest divisive comments, February 3, 2011), slamming Jim Moran for expressing an opinion (which, by the way, is backed up by facts) and rehashing his campaign platform.  
    
The voters have had their say. Murray needs to realize that the election is over and come to grips with the fact that he did not win.
