Despite earning a spot in the New Balance Indoor Nationals 55-meter hurdles finals, a false start kept Episcopal senior Shantell Bingham from adding to her string of honors this season.
    
Bingham, who has knocked off school records left and right, was flagged for a slight movement before the race began. Though officials let her compete in the finals, which pitted Bingham against some of the nations top hurdlers, she was later disqualified. 
    
Still, ending the season as a nationally ranked runner was enough for school officials, who heaped praise on the senior.   
    
Finishing the season as one of the top eight hurdlers in the nation is a testament to her hard work this year, an official school statement said. The Episcopal track community is incredibly proud of all that Shantell has accomplished for herself and the EHS track and field program.
