Bishop Ireton wrestling team co-captain Elliot Mondragon took home the third-place prize en route to receiving All-American honors at the National Prep Wrestling championships.
    
Though he dropped the quarterfinal match against Blair Academy, the 103-pound grappler and eighth seed won the consolation match against DeMathas Shane Wilson. Mondragon is the fourth Ireton wrestler to earn All-American honors in the private schools history. 
    
Elliot had a tremendous tournament, said coach Don Dight in a statement. It was a special way to cap an exceptional season and career at Bishop Ireton.
