To the editor:
    The sports article by Derrick Perkins, Touching all the bases (March 17, 2011), provided a preview of the upcoming high school baseball season. However, you missed a few bases the ones on the softball field!  
    The St. Stephens and St. Agnes high school softball team were last years Independent School League season co-champions and won the ISL tournament championship (AA Division). They had a 14-1 in-league record and a 15-5 record overall record. The team has good prospects this year as well.  
    I urge you to give some coverage to softball as well as baseball, particularly given the Saints outstanding softball season last year.
