


Alexandria native Sasha Digiulian took second place at Marchs Freeride World Tour championship after climbing the 5.14c grade of Kentuckys Southern Smoke route.
The feat, which makes Digiulian, 18, one of the first women to climb at that grade, is nothing new. On March 22, the Alexandria teen on-sighted attempting a route without knowing the route the 5.14a grade at Omaha Beach, making her the first woman to do so.
In an impressive run this year, Digiulian also placed second at the Dark Horse Series championships in Boston, third in the ABS Nationals in Boulder and first at the Feats of Strength bouldering tournament in New York state.
