Annandale man turns himself in on murder charge


An Annandale man turned himself in to Fairfax County police after allegedly shooting one man dead and wounding another in an attack on a Belle View barbershop Wednesday. 
Police have charged Hung T. Nguyen, 44, with murder, though the investigation is ongoing. Nguyen allegedly walked into the Belle View Barber Shop, located at a 1600 block Belle View Blvd. strip mall also home to a Safeway supermarket and CVS pharmacy, and opened fire about 2:17 p.m.
A 39-year-old Alexandria man, Le D. Hoang, died at the scene, police said. Another man, 38-years-old, was taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to authorities.
The shooting sparked a manhunt that lasted into the evening. Nguyen turned himself in at the Sully District Police Station about 11 p.m., police said Additional charges may be forthcoming.
