Coming off a string of wins two of them narrowly Episcopal saw Bullis pull away on the lacrosse field for a 9-5 win, putting an end to the Maroons nascent hot streak.
Prior to the loss, their first since a 12-7 defeat at the hands of Landon on April 8, the Maroon had trumped backyard rival St. Stephens and St. Agnes, Paul VI Catholic and Woodberry Forest.
Episcopal spread the action around against Bullis with Nick Weeden, Tom Hurley, Connor Gallegos, Conor Foley and Will Davy all scoring in their third defeat of the season.
The 14-3 Maroon take on Collegiate before heading to St. Albans on April 29.
