A jogger suffered minor injuries after an unknown suspect knocked him down and punched him during an evening run near Canal Center Plaza April 17. 
    
Police dont know what motivated the 8:26 p.m. attack, but said the victim was able to break free from the suspect and run away. He contacted authorities immediately after the assault, officials said. 
    
Authorities describe the suspect as a black man, roughly 5-foot-2.
