Former governor Tim Kaine (D) hobnobbed with Alexandria’s political elite at the Torpedo Factory Tuesday night, raising money for his U.S. Senate bid.

Kaine, former chairman of the Democratic National Committee, had little trouble eliciting cheers and well wishes from a receptive crowd.

Mayor Bill Euille, Vice Mayor Kerry Donley, joined Rep. Jim Moran (D-8) and Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) in welcoming Kaine to the Port City.
