Police say a suspect was able to dismantle a Wachovia Bank ATM in a failed attempt to remove the machine from its post on the 3500 block of Mount Vernon Ave. in April. 
    
The suspect had managed to pull the ATM slightly out of its bolted position before apparently fleeing. No money was taken, said department spokeswoman Ashley Hildebrandt. Authorities learned of the tampering about 10 a.m. on April 25.
    
Police do not have a suspect description.
