The Scholarship Fund of Alexandria raised more than $300,000 at its annual spring gala Saturday, according to Executive Director Susan Yowell.
About 550 luminaries, donors and beneficiaries of the fund attended the 25th rendition of the event, which lasted until midnight at the Hilton Mark Center.
Live music, dancing, dinner and a silent auction greased the wheels for individual and corporate philanthropists interested in helping promising T.C. Williams High School Students get to college.
The Scholarship Fund of Alexandria is responsible for sending more than 3,400 students to college over the years, according to organizers.
