Titans crew out rows competition

The T.C. Williams crew team returned from the Virginia Scholastic Rowing Championship with a bit more luster, earning four first place finishes during the weekend regatta. 

    
The girls second eight-boat beat out Yorktown, National Cathedral and Lake Braddock with a time of 5:19.2 in their first heat. Their counterparts on the boys first four-boat out rowed Mathews, Norfolk Academy, Langley and Washington Lee at 4:05.5 to place first while the boys second four-boat trumped Norfolk, Woodbridge, Madison and Langley with a time of 5:16.6.
    
The boys first four-boat would go on to take first in the final race with a 5:03.1 pace. 
    
The girls first eight-boat came away with a second place finish in their final, roughly four seconds behind Madison, the team that out rowed them during their earlier heat.
