Your View: Make points with principle, not insult

To the editor:

In response to the April 28 letter from Susan B. Kellom of the Alexandria Democratic Committee (Republican budget plan is rife with selfishness, void of compassion): More political hackery. More knee-jerk nonsense. More insults flung helter-skelter without much thought or analysis, only emotion and a sense of grievance.
More talking points. Bad Republicans. Bad. They want to starve the children and serve granny dog food. They want people to die in the streets. Why do they hate the children? She only left out accusations of racism. Enough already. A principled case can be made for her position. She didnt make it.
