Alexandria travel soccer team wins championship


After squeaking by Sterling F.C. White in a 1-0 showdown, the U9 Alexandria Pride White pummeled the BRYC Elite White 4-0 to win a title in the Virginian Memorial Day Soccer Tournament.

The Alexandria girls soccer squad headed into the annual tournament leading their division with a perfect 3-0 record. Their eventual competitor, BRYC Elite White, held a 2-1 record their sole loss coming at the hands of Alexandria. 

The Alexandria Pride White is ranked No. 23 in the state and No. 65 nationally in the Premier Bronze division. They joined roughly 600 teams from across the country and Canada competing in the 36th iteration of the tournament.
