A man walking along a bike path near the 400 block of N. Van Dorn St., was attacked and mugged on June 21, but walked away without any injuries, according to authorities. 

The victim was traveling with a friend about 7:51 p.m. when the suspect approached from behind. The attacker allegedly grabbed the victim and implied he had a weapon, though none was seen, and stole his cash, said Ashley Hildebrandt, department spokeswoman. 

Authorities dont know why the suspect targeted just one of the two men. They have not yet made an arrest and the attack remains under investigation.
