A vandal scrawled 59 Brim Gang on a Stevenson Avenue apartment building earlier this month, but police say theres no known connection to West Coast gangs with similar names. 

A resident of the 6300 block building reported the spray painted message about 1:17 a.m., June 21. Authorities dont know when the tag was left there is no surveillance footage and no known witnesses, said Ashley Hildebrandt, department spokeswoman. 

There have been no other 59 Brim Gang tags found in the city, she said. The suspect has not yet been caught.
