Alexandria police say thieves stole the glass from a vehicles passenger side mirror while the owner was at work earlier this month. 
    
The victim discovered and reported the theft about 10:25 a.m., July 19, after returning to the vehicle he had left parked on the 1600 block of N. Quaker Lane. Authorities dont know when the thieves struck, said Ashley Hildebrandt, department spokeswoman. 
    
There were no witness and officials dont have descriptions of the suspects. They dont know why the thieves would target the glass, Hildebrandt said.
