Damaged by a storm roughly a year ago, the pedestrian bridge in Forest Park is slated for replacement with work on the new $93,000 structure expected to begin in August.
The bridge is on a trail linking MacArthur Elementary School, T.C. Williams High School and Chinquapin Park, between Francis Hammond Parkway and Kingston Avenue. Officials say pedestrians should expect limited access to the trail throughout August.
The project will be finished by September 2, officials said.
