A passing car likely saved a pedestrian from getting robbed on the 6000 block of N. Morgan St. late last month, say city police. 

The victim was walking down the street about 11:12 p.m. August 26 when a short, black man approached him from the front and demanded cash, said Ashley Hildebrandt, department spokeswoman. The victim refused and the approaching vehicle scared off the suspect, she said. 

Authorities have not yet made an arrest and the incident remains under investigation, Hildebrandt said.
