Work to replace a fence separating the Simpson Stadium Park Little League field and the newly neighboring soccer pitches is expected to begin August 8.
    
The outfield fence replacement project addresses safety issues between the 400 block E. Monroe Ave. athletic fields, officials said. Residents should expect to see city contractor crews and construction equipment at work through the duration of the project. 
    
The rebuilt fence is slated for finish by August 19.
