The third annual Bishop Ireton Cardinal 5K Run, which takes competitors on a course through Cameron Run Regional Park, is scheduled for 9 a.m. Sunday.

Participants must register online at www.cardinal5krace.com beforehand or in person on the morning of the race. Registration cost is $30 per competitor or $35 on race day.

Runners will compete for the overall male and female winners or first, second and third place in each age bracket — from 19 and younger to 70 and older. All participants are asked to bring a canned food item for United Community Ministries.
