Episcopal is 2-3 on the season after a narrow 17-14 win against St. Albans that saw the Washington school rally but come up short in the fourth quarter.

The Maroon made their way into the end zone twice in the first quarter, once after senior quarterback Austin de Butts found Johnny Bond for a 50-yard pass and the second on a 23-yard carry by de Butts.

Junior kicker Bobby Myers sealed the game for Episcopal after nailing a 35-yard field goal in the third quarter. The win against the 4-2 Bulldogs puts the Maroon at 1-1 in conference play.

Episcopal faces St. Christopher’s at home next, welcoming the Saints to Alexandria on Saturday for their 2:30 p.m. matchup.
