A pedestrian was attacked after accidentally bumping into a passerby on the 800 block of N. Howard St. on the afternoon of November 30.

The victim told authorities he apologized after the mishap, which occurred about 3:26 p.m. and did not harm the woman, but a man accompanying her punched him regardless. The dustup left the victim with minor injuries, said police department spokeswoman Ashley Hildebrandt.

The suspect later fled the scene in a vehicle but authorities have made an arrest, Hildebrandt said. Police did not release the suspect’s identity.to
