Alexandria police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Friday afternoon at a West End branch of PNC Bank.

Police spokeswoman Ashley Hildebrandt said that around 2:15 p.m. a male suspect entered the bank at 4513 Duke Street and demanded money from a teller. The employee complied and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Hildebrandt said that the suspect did not brandish or imply that he had a weapon during the incident. She said she had no further details about the incident or the suspect.
