A man is in serious condition in the hospital after being struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Seminary Road and Hermitage Lane on Thursday night.

At around 10:30 p.m., officers from the Alexandria Police Department responded to the area after reports of a crash. Officials said their initial investigation shows a white vehicle traveling west on Seminary Road struck the man.

The driver remained on the scene, while the 57-year-old victim was transported to the hospital and is in serious condition.

Members of the police’s crash reconstruction team are investigating the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
