Longtime Old Town boutique Hysteria announced this week a farewell sale and plans to close in late November.

The boutique, owned by Suzanne Runyon and Nina Doherty, will begin a 20 percent farewell sale and, if a buyer doesn’t come forward, plans to close following Black Friday. Runyon, who is moving to Maine, first announced plans to sell earlier this month.

Hysteria, which originally specialized in jewelry, was opened by serial boutique owner Ethan Drath in 1999, who sold it to Runyon and Doherty in 2013. Since starting up more than a decade ago, the boutique has branched out to clothing and shoes, in addition to accessories.

“As always, we truly appreciate your support of all of us at Hysteria and we hope to see you before we say farewell, once and for all,” Runyon said in an newsletter announcing the sale.
