The Alexandria Sheriff’s Office added seven recruits to its ranks in a ceremony earlier this week.

Clerk of the Circuit Court Edward Semonian administered the oath of office to Deputies Megan Vann, Nissah Santiago, Josue Reyes, Ailish Bengel, Nicholas Montgomery, Brittany Wilkins and Claudia Trogler at a ceremony on Monday at the Alexandria Courthouse, according to a news release.

Sheriff Dana Lawhorne presented recruits with badges, asking friends and family to join.

The release said deputies have started training at the sheriff’s office and will attend the Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Training Academy in 2018.
