The T.C. Williams High School freshman volleyball team had many reasons to celebrate after ending its most recent season – 16, in fact.
The 17-member team finished their season with a 16-0 record after defeating West Potomac High School in their final match on Oct. 26. The team bested West Potomac two sets to none.
Throughout the season, the T.C. Williams team faced Bishop Ireton, West Springfield, Thomas Jefferson, Washington-Lee, Lake Braddock, W.T. Woodson, Yorktown, Mount Vernon, McLean, St. John’s, Edison, Annandale, Hayfield and Mount Vernon High School, according to the school’s website.
The team was led by Coach Derek Baxter and Assistant Coach Molly Smith. Kaela Coren was the team manager.
