Brandon Dorns, 22, of Alexandria, died in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate-64 in Goochland County over Labor Day weekend, according to an article from The Patch.

Passenger Abanoub Zaki, 19, was injured in the crash, which occurred on Aug. 31, according to The Patch. Dorns died at the scene and Zaki was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Dorns was a pre-med student at Virginia Commonwealth University, according to The Patch.
