Ryan Wallace, a youth participant in the Miracle League of Alexandria, will represent the city at the second annual National Miracle League All-Star game in Souix City, Iowa this weekend, according to a news release.
Wallace, pictured left, will be accompanied by his mother, Jenebah Moore; his brother, Franklin; and Mac Slover, an MLA volunteer coordinator, according to the release.
The National Miracle League is an international effort to give children with mental and physical disabilities the opportunity to play baseball.
Wallace has been a participant in the MLA program since 2011. He was selected to represent Alexandria at the game and will be playing alongside hundreds of athletes from around the United States and Canada, according to the release.
