The Old Town Boutique District and Old Town Business have a featured lineup of holiday shopping events scheduled for Friday and Saturday, according to a news release.
On Black Friday, shoppers can travel to Old Town for Plaid Friday, a locally focused day of shopping meant to support small, independent businesses. Old Town’s many restaurants are also part of the event. Sales start at 6 a.m. on Friday and continue all day, according to the release.
The holiday sales continue on Small Business Saturday, with several independent boutiques offering special activities and promotions. For every $100 spent, $68 will stay in the community, according to the release. The event will also feature a scavenger hunt, complimentary gift wrapping bar and street elf patrols.
