The Chamber ALX hosted the 2020 Valor Awards on Aug. 27 at the Hilton Old Town Alexandria. The annual program is designed to honor public safety personnel from the Alexandria Fire Department, Police Department, Sheriff’s Office and Department of Emergency Communications for heroic acts of valor, according to the chamber. Throughout the program, guests were seated 6 feet apart to meet social distancing guidelines.
