Emmy award winning journalist and documentary filmmaker Robin Hamilton joins Speak Easy, the Alexandria Times podcast, this week to talk about her film “Our Alexandria.”

Hamilton’s latest film chronicles two Alexandria residents and long-time friends who create detailed dollhouses to tell the story of the city’s segregated past. Hamilton also spoke with Times Managing Editor Cody Mello-Klein about her previous films, her film-making process, the role of memory and nostalgia in the film and the value of local stories.
