The Alexandria Film Festival announced its annual call for entries on April 1, kicking off the event’s 15th year, according to a news release.
The festival will take place from Nov. 11 to 14 this year, as the AFF panel of judges and cinephiles watch hundreds of films from local, national and international filmmakers. In its announcement, the AFF board invited film–makers from all over the world to enter their short and feature-length films via www.filmfreeway.com. This year’s program will feature more than 50 films in a variety of genres, according to the release.
In 2020, the AFF went completely virtual, offering festivalgoers the opportunity to watch 45 films at their leisure over a more extended period of time. This year, the festival organizers plan to hold a hybrid event that will involve virtual and in-per–son screenings and panel discussions, according to the release.
