Two armed robberies took place within the same hour on May 4, one in Del Ray and one in Arlandria, according to an Alexandria Police Department news release. Police are currently investigating both robberies.

The first occurred around 12:15 p.m. on East Oxford Avenue in Del Ray, where two male suspects robbed a man of his cell phone at gunpoint.

The second incident occurred around 12:40 p.m. in the 3900 block of Courtland Circle in Arlandria, according to the release. Again, two male suspects robbed a man of his cell phone and wallet.

The robbers fled both scenes in a vehicle, according to APD.
