Alexandria’s Goodwin House was awarded one of two Stewardship awards at the LeadingAge Virginia Annual Conference held June 8-10.
The Stewardship Award is awarded to “a community member or an individual that has advanced public trust and confidence in aging service through public service and collaboration,” according to a press release.
Goodwin House worked to keep staff and residents in both locations, Alexandria and Bailey’s Crossroads, safe from COVID-19, as well as supplying other senior living communities in Northern Virginia with personal protection equipment and access to testing labs and clinics.
According to the press release, Goodwin House created the COVID-19 Playbook, available throughout the country, which shared their recommended practices in dealing with COVID-19.
