Brian Hricik, the Alexandria Fire Department medical services deputy chief, died on Feb. 23 according to a release.
“This is a time of great sadness for the Alexandria Fire Department and for the City of Alexandria,” Alexandria Fire/ EMS Chief Corey A. Smedley said. “We have not only lost an outstanding employee and Medical Services Deputy Chief, but a dedicated and well-respected colleague and friend. Over the past 25 years, Brian proved himself as an outstanding leader and advocate for a high-performing EMS system. He will be sorely missed by the Department, City, and community; we send our deepest regrets to his family and friends on their loss.”
