According to an Alexandria Police Department news release, an Alexandrian resident, 33-year-old Lorenzo Johnson was arrested and charged with grand larceny auto, being drunk in public, driving while intoxicated, accident hit and run, property damage, and other traffic offenses. On Feb. 23 at approximately 9:55 p.m., police were called to the intersection of Duke Street and Quaker Road for an attempted carjacking of a DASH vehicle. No weapons were involved and no injuries were reported.
