Alexandria’s Office of the Arts announced the launch of a new public art map too. The online resource will allow residents and visitors to explore art throughout the city. According to a release, the tool will serve as a “comprehensive online resource that showcases the city’s vast array of public art installations, including sculptures, murals, and other forms of public art. With this new tool, users can easily search for and discover public art near them, learn more about the artists and artworks, explore multimedia such as videos and audio about the artwork, and plan self-guided tours.” For more information, visit alexandriava.gov/publicart.
